We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Painter to join our team and contribute to our FMTV program. The ideal candidate will perform all stages of vehicle painting and preparation according to source documents and company procedures. This role involves painting a variety of items using materials such as CARC and Military coatings. You will independently plan work details, selecting methods, equipment, and processes best suited for specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Blend colors accurately and manage all stages of the painting process while maintaining a proper painting environment.
• Possess experience in masking, sanding, grinding, and applying paint.
• Utilize spray paint tools and related equipment proficiently.
• Prepare and prep vehicles and parts for painting.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company and OSHA standards.
• Communicate with supervisors and engineers regarding job progress, issues, or design changes.

• Minimum of 1 year of painting experience.
• Experience in auto body or industrial painting.
• Proficiency in using paint prep, spray gun, sanding, coating, and mixing techniques.

• Vehicle painting experience preferred.
• Experience with Bead Blast or Media Blast is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned facility with a paint booth, operating in an indoor/outdoor shop setting with exposure to noise, heat, sparks, and heavy equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and flexibility is needed for additional tasks assigned by the supervisor. The work schedule is 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Monday to Friday), with weekends available as needed and opportunities for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
