Job Description:

Tasks

Team Leadership & Organizational Design

  • Lead and mentor team with functional/disciplinary guidance
  • Build global network for quality and cost efficiency
  • Oversee network rollout 

Digitalization & Innovation

  • Drive Digital Transformation
  • Implement TMS, loT, AI for visibility and performance 
  • Embeded KPIs and analytics 
  • Co-develop tools with IT/Product

Process Improvement & Excellence

  • Run Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives 
  • Standarize processes for scale and compliance 
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Benchspan and close gaps 

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify new spanets, hubs, partners
  • Support commercial teams with insights
  • Contribute to M&A 
  • Negotiate rate models

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Liaise with logistics, sales, finance
  • Represent network in committees
  • Lead change management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years
  • Ideally at least 3 years of functional or disciplinary leadership experience
  • Proven experience in network management within the freight forwarding industry
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Strong intercultural competence
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a matrix setup
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant digital tools
  • Willingness to travel for business, including at short notice
