Position Summary:
This role is required to be on site in Marion, NYUnder limited/minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer II is an experienced role that is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment typically in a single manufacturing facility. Supports the manufacture and assembly of new and existing Parker products. Identifiesimproved manufacturing techniques for testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. May be responsible for developing anddeploying capital projects.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct or indirect reports.
Essential Functions:Manufacturing Process Flow - Plans and designs basic manufacturing processes to improve themanufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Determines equipment and tooling needed toachieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.Process Improvement - Develops and implements process improvement projects that focus onmanufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. May lead small teams in developing andimplementing process improvement efforts.Engineering Design Support - Provides guidance to engineering leadership regarding design concepts andspecification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Regulatory Compliance – Ensures more complex processes and procedures comply with regulations.Applies frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.Remediation - Investigates and suggests corrective action to ensure product quality, and to resolve qualityissues.Performs additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field with 2-5 years of experienceProficient/Working knowledge and ability to apply concepts of engineering for one solution lineAbility to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of moderate todifficult scope and complexityEffectively apply continuous improvement methods to quality and manufacturing functions (e.g. pullsystems, process mapping, JIT)Proficient/Working knowledge of data structures and database programmingAbility to work effectively with CAD/CAM systems or other computer aided manufacturing systems, inaddition to standard business application software and/ or specialized data analysis toolsAbility to use existing procedures to solve problemsAbility to read and understand moderate to complex engineering drawings and specificationsWorking knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to research and analyze data effectively and draw valid conclusionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook,and web-browsers

Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $73050 to $121500 annually
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
