2026 Entry Level - Experimental Manufacturing Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
To analyze product designs of moderately complex parts and assemblies to determine the manufacturability of components, assemblies and tooling and/or provides technical guidance in the solution of manufacturing customer related difficulties or improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the creation of the necessary tool, equipment and manufacturing engineering required to fabricate and assemble all major aircraft components and highly complex systems in accordance with product engineering design specifications.
Perform the preliminary planning and determines the tool and equipment needs to build major or complex components for new aircraft designs which may be further planned by lower classification manufacturing engineers and planners.
Assess on a continuing basis all experimental and/or manufacturing processes and operations utilized on assigned projects and recommends re-planning as appropriate.
Determine the most economical manufacturing methods and processes in accordance with experimental or production requirements, product quality expected, machine tools, tooling, plant facilities and personnel available to perform the job.
Accurately develops flat patterns from CADAM and CATIA models.
Conduct re-planning operations required by changes to major or complex components.
Estimate initial time standards and prepares tooling estimates for fabrication and rework of parts and assemblies.
Perform liaison with engineering, tooling, fabrication and assembly departments to interpret manufacturing planning or tool and equipment requirements and to provide for necessary tool and/or part rework.
Follows-up on required corrective action to ensure tool and/or part suitability.
Perform necessary research to maintain and exercise a working knowledge of new manufacturing processes and techniques.
Screen and check planning work prepared by lower classification engineers and planners assigned to same projects.
Prepare periodic activity and status reports and performs special assignments as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in:
Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Other related fields
Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates the ability to teach and lead others with the flexibility to effectively participate in a team environment.
Strong organizational, time, priority setting and project management skills
Sharp eye for detail
Great analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
