Senior Talent Development Partner
Job Description:
Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Join Joby Aviations data-driven Talent Development team to lead strategic talent development initiatives across our global organization. Youll drive analytics-based talent strategies, own performance management processes, and spearhead organizational development efforts that enable our team members to thrive while supporting our mission of transforming transportation through electric aviation.

This is a hybrid role that requires three days onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Performance Management: Lead end-to-end execution of annual performance and talent review cycles, including project management, systems configuration, communications, and training materials.
  • Promotions and Career Growth: Partner in the promotion review process, analyzing submissions for consistency, equity, and job architecture alignment.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage company-wide engagement and pulse surveys, partnering with stakeholders on design, launch, reporting, and action planning to enhance team member experience.
  • Internal Mobility: Design and implement programs facilitating internal mobility and career development, including career pathing tools, development programs, and job architecture improvements.
  • Learning & Development Support: Contribute to L&D initiatives through content creation, workshop facilitation on feedback and goal setting, and program evaluation.
  • Systems Administration: Serve as primary administrator and SME for talent management platform, managing configuration, troubleshooting, data integrity, and user adoption.
  • Project & Initiative Ownership: Lead high-impact Talent Management initiatives from strategy and scoping, through implementation and outcome measurement.
Required
  • Bachelors degree in I-O Psychology, HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive experience in Talent Management, L&D, People Analytics, or related HR function
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle company-wide performance reviews in fast-paced environments
  • Proven experience with employee engagement surveys, including reporting and action support.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with data-driven decision making focus
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems; quick learner on new platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels
Desired
  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline
  • High-growth technology, engineering, or manufacturing experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis/visualization tools (Excel, Google Sheets, PowerBI)
  • Training facilitation experience
  • Career architecture, competency modeling, or succession planning familiarity
  • Change management understanding
Additional Information

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $110,400-$147,200/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
