Role Summary
The Director, Employee Services provides enterprise leadership for Employee Services and HR Compliance, setting the long-term strategy, operating model, and performance standards for how employees experience core people services across Air Group. This role oversees People Support, Employee Data Management, HR Compliance, and corporate front desk services, ensuring delivery is consistent, compliant, efficient, and human-centered.
This senior leader designs and leads AI-enabled, data-informed service delivery models that improve employee experience, service quality, and decision-making while maintaining strong governance, privacy, safety, and compliance standards. The Director partners closely with cross-functional leaders to evolve policies, processes, technology, and data practices, translating business and employee needs into scalable, sustainable solutions.
As a people leader, this role develops and empowers leaders to drive operational excellence, adopt responsible innovation, and uphold high standards of service, safety, and care. The Director cultivates a strong leadership culture, builds future-ready capabilities, and ensures teams are positioned to deliver both high-touch employee support and modern, efficient service delivery at scale.
Key Duties
Empowers team leaders to formulate long-term strategies for employee experience through service delivery initiatives in People Support, HR Compliance, Employee Data Management, and corporate front desks.
Sets the strategic direction for responsible AI adoption across Employee Services, ensuring AI-enabled solutions improve employee experience, service delivery, accuracy, and efficiency while aligning with company values, privacy, safety, and compliance standards.
Sponsors and governs AI-enabled service delivery capabilities (e.g., AI-assisted case management, knowledge management, data quality monitoring, and employee self-service), ensuring solutions are scalable, transparent, and measurable.
Builds AI fluency and change readiness across teams by setting expectations for responsible experimentation, upskilling leaders and employees, and embedding AI capabilities into standard operating models—not one-off tools.
Ensures human-centered design remains core to all AI-enabled solutions, balancing automation with high-touch service, empathy, and thoughtful escalation for complex employee needs.
Collaborates with stakeholders to define the evolution of the company’s data management, overseeing team leaders in making critical recommendations on data requirements, metrics, and reporting frequencies to analyze trends and make informed decisions to enhance employee experience.
Leads and develops personnel through effective performance management and continuous feedback, with an emphasis on fostering strategic systems thinking, talent development, and succession planning across teams and disciplines.
Develops strategic goals and direction for a team of people leaders.
Cultivates the team culture through proactive engagement, presence, and reinforcement of desired behaviors.
Partners with various departments to deliver exceptional guest and employee experiences through high-touch engagement and superior customer service.
Influences policies, service level agreements, technology, and employee experience, providing strategic recommendations to enterprise leaders.
Develops and responsible for budget for People Resource Line, Employee Data Management, HR Compliance, and the corporate front desk team.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
8 years of experience in human resources, managerial/program oversight, project management.
5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 of those years directly leading people.
Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
Working knowledge of and experience with human resources functions including Employee Records, Benefits, Absence Management, HR Contact Center, HRIS, Compliance and more.
Demonstrated project and change management skills and a thirst for applying research and best practices to existing business problems.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to distill data and present actionable information from complex research to tell a compelling story.
Demonstrated partnership and influencing skills, able to communicate with professionals at all levels of the company and work productively both individually and within a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range
$172,550 - $267,450 / year
Total Target Compensation Range (incl. bonus & equity)
$224,316.00 - $347,686.00
Salary Details
The pay range and total target compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Your pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, your relevant experience/level, experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note: We dont typically hire at the top of the range.
