Job Title: Aircraft Assembly Technician
Job DescriptionJoin our team as an Aircraft Assembly Technician, responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies. Utilize your experience with sheet metal, riveting, assembly methods, and common shop practices to ensure high-quality outcomes per customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality requirements.
- Complete data gathering to facilitate assembly progress.
- Set up and operate various shop equipment such as squeezes, precision measuring tools, drill motors, and countersink cutters.
- Troubleshoot issues and seek process improvements.
- Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.
- Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies.
- Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies.
Essential Skills- High school diploma or GED, or one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Experience with complex assembly and structures, 2-5 years preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Verbal communication skills regarding work processes.
- Ability to write and record process information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Six months of vocational training.
- Experience with forklift, drill press, floor mounted rivet press, and overhead crane.
- Preferred experience with Spirit, Boeing, Textron, or Cessna.

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled area with a requirement to wear steel toe boots. The work involves exposure to vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. First shift hours are 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime on Saturdays. Second shift hours are 2pm-12:30am, Monday to Thursday, with additional work on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
