For our Motion, Power, Sensing Division site based in Fribourg, we are currently looking for a Software Quality Engineer.
As “Software Quality Engineer “, you will drive continuous improvement and will verify the documents produced by Engineering according to customer project requirements. You will ensure that projects and products meet applicable standards and requirements, and you will conduct independent assessment of engineering compliance to systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfilment of internal and external requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Manage customers documents reviews with a view to quality and compliance requirements
- Serve as domain expert with regard to understanding and applying aviation SW development standards including but not limited to RTCA/DO-178 and SAE ARP4754
- Serve as the quality single point of contact, externally for the customer and internally for the program
- Conduct assessments of engineering development activities to gauge compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, industrial, and company standards
- Participate in internal and external milestones (incl. product validation) relating to SW activities
- Participate in customer audits, as well as of those of regulatory and industrial standards bodies
- Conduct internal audits as per the annual quality audit plan incl. resulting CAPA activities
- Participate in the delegated product release process as backup
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor Degree (HES/EPF or equivalent) preferably in Computer Engineering or any related fields
- Ideally 10 years of experience in industrial environment, including 5 years in Quality
- Experience in review of aerospace customers’ requirements documents, development activities, design assurance standard RTCA/DO-178, functional safety standard IEC61508
- Proficiency with programming languages and methods and basic knowledge of electronics and measurement systems
- Experience in cross-functional team coordination and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate
- Analytical mind
- Fluency in both French and English
