Description:You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for the Precision Fires Business Process Engineering (BPE) group. Our team is dedicated to driving continuous improvement across the entire line of business, standardizing requirements, and maturing processes.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for leading quality engineering efforts to drive efficiency and progress in our Precision Fires business. You will play a key role in developing and implementing process improvements, conducting audits, and managing projects to achieve business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maturing processes to drive continuous improvement
- Conducting audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Managing projects to accelerate progress and increase efficiency
- Standardizing requirements across the business
- Collaborating with stakeholders to drive change and improvement

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at bachelors level or higher or equivalent experience/combined education.

-Previous quality experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures

-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques

-Thorough understanding of engineering requirements and inspection methods


-Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes / capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems

-Experience working with Government customers

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders

-Ability to travel up to 25

-Ability to obtain a secret security clearance

-Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and other aerospace quality standards
Desired Skills:
-STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred

-AS1900 interpretation and application experience

-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques

-Demonstrated ability to use analysis tools to perform Root Cause and Corrective Action

-In depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures

-Familiarity and knowledge of Quality systems such Aerospace (AS) and International (ISO)

-Experience working with government customers and suppliers

-Supplier Quality and AS9100 audit experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
