POSITION SUMMARY:
Advocates and supports the Corporate Win Strategy by managing the quality operations in the assignedValue Stream. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for products and processes.Provides statistical information for quality improvement by gathering data on trends and root causeanalysis. Responsible to guide technical evaluation, analysis, and related data acquisition processes toensure plant quality objectives are achieved.
SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

Typically reports to the Division Quality Manager. Interfaces with Product Engineering, Manufacturingand Quality Departments. Supervisory responsibilities may include but are not limited to plantengineers or Quality/Integrity Department team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage day to day resources to support inspection throughout the facility in receiving, final, and Zeissroom (tooling, calibration inspection, machine shop inspection). Report out to upper management ondaily and monthly goals.
Expand cross training throughout the inspection department to improve flexibility within the team.
Develop additional CMM inspection resources throughout the team.
Optimize final inspection processes to improve throughput and minimize inspectors’ “touch time”.
Manage costs throughout the inspection department, including overtime and equipment needs.
Manage the First Article Inspection process throughout the facitliy.
Assesses quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods. Devises andimplements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision,reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production equipment.
Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing data and makingrecommendations. Analyzes proposed changes in methods and materials. Compiles and writes trainingmaterial and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.Participates in failure analysis and corrective action investigations.
Refines and enhances products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key leanmanufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production.
Represents company by interfacing with customers, assisting with internal and external audits.Develops and coordinates corrective action procedures and plans.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewingpublications, establishing industry networks, benchspaning state-of-the-art practices, maintainingAmerican Society for Quality certification, and/or participating in other professional associations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and experience typically acquired through either a B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical orbusiness discipline and demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities andobtain the desired results. Two or more years of training and direct experience within the manufacturingarea or specialty function.
Practical knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, and/or specialty areas in quality oroperations support. Ability to analyze reports and information using available information systems (e.g.MRP or other planning/execution systems). General knowledge of business and government regulations(e.g. manufacturing specifications, FAA, safety).
Previous team participation skills and ability to develop team members through skill assessment andtraining. Supportive of team involvement and process. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION
- Pay Range: $84,050.00/annually to $145,250.00/annually
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
