Pay Range: $37-44.58 - W2 hourly
Duration: 12 months contract
Job Description and Responsibilities
This position is for a mechanical engineer to provide engineering support for field turnback received from the elevator field mechanics. The engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, and integrating new component designs into existing systems, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.
Typical responsibilities include component design, modeling, cost analysis, technical documentation and testing of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate should be responsible, self-motivated, able to work individually, in an engineering and cross-functional team environments, have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a good understanding of the manufacturing process. The candidate will be expected to work closely with our field representatives to drive closure of our Field Turnback Backlog by implementing engineering changes as part of our change control process.
Education
BS degree in mechanical engineering with 0-3+ years' experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- 3D Cad Modeling
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Mechanical Design
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Stakeholder Alignment

- Strong mechanical engineering background
- Design and modeling of mechanical components with Creo or other 3D CAD software

- PDM/PLM software
- Test and measurement equipment
- Hands-on testing or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Cross functional stakeholder management
- Communicating technical solutions to non-technical team members
