Tasks
The Data Engineer is responsible for:
- Gathering & analyzing business requirements & expectations
- Finding relation between business requirements & existing data model
- Identification of new necessary data sources based on business requirements
- Providing proof-of-concepts in direct cooperation with business
- Planning of the stories & tasks including estimations for the realization of the identified requirements
- Implementing new functionalities based on gathered & analyzed requirements
- Developing changes & improvements in the existing processes
- Implementation of import & export processes into & from the data warehouse
- Preparation of documentation of the particular steps & the final product
- Based on your performance, you may be offered a transition to an unlimited- Full term contract
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:
- Work experience in Data Processing with Data Bases & Data Warehouses
- Very good knowledge in SQL, best would be in Teradata SQL
- Understanding & experience in Data Warehouse principless
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Knowledge & understanding of cloud technology, best would be practical experience in MS Azure
- Knowledge of Version Control tools
- Very good analytical thinking skills
- General knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
- Database operations experience
- Experience with Teradata technology
- Knowledge of Python
- Knowledge about Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Must be willing to work shifts
